Advertising and Online Visibility
Under current 2026 regulations, specialist retailers must adhere to strict online communication rules:
No Product Images: We are prohibited from displaying images of vaping products, packaging, or hardware on this website.
New Zealand regulations specify maximum nicotine limits based on the form of the nicotine and the type of device intended for use.
For Reusable & Refillable Systems: For vaping substances that contain nicotine only in salt form and are intended for use in a reusable vaping device, the concentration of nicotine must not exceed 28.5 mg/mL. (This is approximately equivalent to 50 mg/mL of total nicotine salt).
Clarification on "Reusable" vs "Single-use": Under current 2026 interpretations, a pre-filled pod system is generally classified as a reusable device because the battery is kept and only the pod is replaced. This allows these systems to utilize the 28.5 mg/mL salt nicotine limit
Mandatory Child Safety & Battery Standards
All vaping devices notified for sale in New Zealand must meet strict technical requirements:
Child-Safety Mechanisms: Every device must have a safety lock to prevent accidental activation.
Auto-Deactivation: Devices are required to deactivate within 10 minutes of inactivity.
Flavour & Location Restrictions
Flavour Variety: As a Specialist Vape Retailer (SVR), we are authorized to stock a wider range of flavours than general retailers (who are limited to mint, menthol, and tobacco).
Smoke-free Areas: Vaping is prohibited in all areas where smoking is banned, including schools, workplaces, and indoor public spaces.
Yes. A ban on disposable vaping devices comes into effect on June 17th 2025.
Specifically, this includes vaping devices that:
cannot be refilled by the user by filling the device with a vaping substance; or
cannot be refilled by the user by replacing a changeable pod, cartridge, or similar container; or
cannot be recharged by the user
Pod-style vaping devices can still be sold. A pod-style vaping device is where the device is refilled by swapping out a prefilled pod or refillable cartridge. These devices are not included in the ban.
